"This is a painting of the Articles of Faith as they could have been written in the 15th century, using the English language. I chose Lombardic and Gothic lettering, which were common during that time, featuring colors used then. The artwork consists of decorated Lombardic versals and Black Letter, a form of Gothic calligraphy; these would have been used by scribes in medieval times as they illuminated books. Also included in the painting are Nauvoo, the Prophet Joseph Smith, and a quill pen, which was used to pen the Articles of Faith".
