"This sculpture is intended to celebrate the beauty of some of the Lord’s simple creations. We tend to take for granted many of the things we use and see on a regular basis. When carved in light-colored basswood, the forms and textures of these fruits become more apparent than usual. One does not necessarily have to look at the large or spectacular things in nature to appreciate the Lord’s handiwork."
