This work makes reference to the Prophet Joseph Smith’s account of his vision of Jesus Christ in the newly built Kirtland Temple: “We saw the Lord standing upon the breastwork of the pulpit, before us; and under his feet was a paved work of pure gold, in color like amber” (D&C 110:2). The shaft of golden light symbolizes the presence of the Savior standing above “pure gold.”
