By depicting homes found around the world, Lauritsen pays tribute to the wise men and women who build their houses upon the foundation of Christ. Such foundations protect the faithful even in tumultuous times of storm: “The rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock” (Matthew 7:25). The temple also depicted here stands as a beacon of hope, helping all to remain firmly on the rock of the Savior.
