A devoted disciple of Christ, Mary of Bethany was an exemplary woman of faith. This triptych depicts her at Jesus’s feet listening attentively to His words (Luke 10:39), mourning with Him over the loss of her brother Lazarus (John 11:32), and serving Him by anointing His feet (John 12:3). Such actions not only attest to Mary’s love of the Savior but also to the love Jesus had for the women who served with Him during His mortal life.
