Christ’s ability to love and heal the downtrodden and oppressed is a consistent theme in the New Testament. Here, Christ heals a woman whose head is bowed in reverence. He stands among the people, whose arms reach out in supplication, begging desperately for relief, for healing, and for atonement. Through His healing touch, the lame walk, the dumb talk, the blind see, and the downtrodden receive hope and comfort. The Light of the Master is upon everyone.
