Legion, the man tormented by many unclean spirits and living in squalor, was healed by Jesus, who allowed the devils inside the man to enter the bodies of a herd of swine feeding nearby. The man was miraculously freed and “in his right mind,” and he went around the countryside testifying of the “great things Jesus had done for him” (Mark 5:15, 20). Of this miracle the artist said, “Jesus is delighted at what He has done. The man He saved has become a savior too.”
