This painting depicts the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 near Bethsaida. Jesus blessed five barley loaves and two small fishes, miraculously feeding the multitude with twelve baskets of fragments to spare. “The Lord can make up the difference when we have so little,” Dall said, “such as when we pay tithing, after which there seems to be a sufficient amount and blessings running over.” This miracle speaks of the abundant gifts we receive through the Savior.
