Everett’s photographic diptych seeks to capture a sense of the sublime inherent in billowing clouds at sunset. The visible photo-editing marks, seen in the center, rupture the enormous sky. Such disruption and fracturing of the majestic serves as a metaphor for Everett of the way in which our mortal perspective fogs and shadows a clear view of the celestial heavens.
