Love of the scriptures is something often passed down to one’s children and grandchildren. Said Gleave, “We, as members of this Church, have a great legacy of faith, handed down for generations.” Celebrating this inheritance, Gleave depicts a family, warmed both by the fire and the words of the scriptures. Using items from her own family history, such as her great-grandmother’s quilt and her grandmother’s profile cameo on the mantle, Gleave honors the faith she has inherited.
