As Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, He called Peter, Andrew, James, and John to be His disciples, saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” These men “straightway left their nets” to follow Him (Matthew 4:19–20). Since they were fishers by profession, Christ’s call asked them to leave a temporal labor, which provided physical food, for a celestial one, which would provide spiritual food to all who would listen.
