In this work, the figures are submerged in dark water—caught up in turbulent waves and powerful winds. One of the figures sees a light in the distance and, like those who drift in the tumultuous adversities of life, realizes that all is not lost. As the title suggests, even the winds and the waves obey the will of the Master, whose hope and redemption help us to rise above life’s adversities.
