Mary held the Son of God in her heart and in her arms, for she was entrusted with the stewardship of our Heavenly Father’s Only Begotten Son. Here, the young Mary holds the toddler Jesus as they watch for Joseph the carpenter, Jesus’s earthly guardian, to walk the path home. As He grew, Jesus would learn Joseph’s trade, but more important, He would someday carve and shape the souls of all mankind, for He was the Savior of the World.
