    Diaries reflect Spencer's activities in Nauvoo, Illinois, travel to the Emmett Company in March 1845, mission to the Indians along Missouri's western border in August 1845, preparations for exodus from Nauvoo, travels across Iowa, activities in Winter Quarters, and arrival in the Salt Lake Valley in September 1847.
