The Savior sits, arms full of and surrounded by children. Perhaps bothered by the noise and chaos children can bring, Christ’s disciples rebuked parents who brought them to Jesus. The rebuke displeased Christ. "Suffer the little children to come unto me," He said, "and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14). Olivare comments, "It is comforting to know that all of us are loved by our Father in Heaven, as shown through His Son Jesus Christ’s ministry here on earth."
