Broken and lifeless, a bird lies discarded on the altar. But out of that carrion grows a delicate flower. Overwhelmed by his studies, Romero was diagnosed with depression. Feeling like he had little to offer God and remembering biblical animal sacrifices, he asked, "What if the best I have, the best that I can offer, is a dead bird?" The beauty that emerges is a reminder that God sees our offerings and magnifies them through His grace. It is enough.

"This work is my testimony and my hope for the darkest times of our lives."
