All humanity is invited to partake of the fruit of the tree of life portrayed in the Book of Mormon prophet Lehi’s vision. Romano wanted to portray the purpose of receiving the love of God—humanity’s intended destiny as kings and queens. The chair is a throne, crowned with jewels representing the twelve tribes of Israel. Its legs are composed of over 100 species of wood representing the diversity of humanity.
