In the midst of designs found on Santa Clara Tewa Pueblo black pottery representing God and Avanyu, or living water, stands Eve. Noting that Eve received the title the Mother of All Living before she had children, Winder wonders at Eve’s role in the Creation in which both men and women took part. As an artist, Winder honors that creative desire gifted to all of God’s children.
"As I approach each painting in prayer, I get a little glimpse of what it must have been like to create under His hand and what it will be like to become as He is."
