The Community Well

In concert with local organizations and communities, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints seeks to improve access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. In 2022, Murdock visited drought-stricken Kenya and witnessed people gathered at wells planned with the input of community members. In this image, Kenyans with strong backs fill water from a solar-powered well. In the distance, figures carry water on their heads back to those who need clean water in distant communities.
