In the center of the piece is a great oak tree, its mulicolored fruit shining, a representation of the love of God. The tree is situated in a large field, where workers harvest wheat, a symbol of God’s children who are gathered, bundled, and brought to the love of God. Watson illustrates angels with sheaves of wheat; Latter-day Saint doctrine notes that God’s children are brought to Christ both in mortality and in the world beyond.
“Jesus Christ . . . lowers His hands to lift all.”
