Dimensions
48 x 31.5 x 6 In.
Medium
Stainless steel
Cut from stainless steel, Park’s work illustrates several scripture and life stories of lifting. At the top, Aaron and Hur support Moses’s hands to keep them raised to God’s power as the prophet felt weak. A young woman ministers to one who is sick in the center of the piece. The lower left shows a Book of Mormon prophet passing golden plates to the next prophet, while the scene in the lower right depicts the Savior as he heals the paralytic man at the pool of Bethesda. In each case—some with the help of others—each character seems to rise, assume his or her responsibilities, and move forward.
“예수께서 이르시되 '일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라’” (요한복음 5:8)

“‘Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk’” (John 5:8).
