Tibbitts illustrates the story of a friend who lost her husband in an accident. Her despair was palpable when her young son grabbed her hand and instructed, “Máma! Pray.” With her arms around her son and her heart drawn to the heavens, this young mother prayed. In this three-part scene, the figures become more dimensional as they rely on prayer and the Savior to complete their broken spirits. A curtain parts in the background, revealing a second world outside to which the young mother’s husband has passed, but he is still present.
“God is in charge, and it is a perfect—or symmetrical—plan. We don’t always see it right away, especially in our times of need, but nevertheless that is true.”
