The Flowers of Grace

Teichert created boots to reflect moments when he has lifted or felt lifted by those around him. Doves fly, representing the Holy Ghost or inspiration to do good. From that inspiration grow tulips of love. Like the sun on the dark background, the light of Christ and service seem to disperse the heaviness mortality sometimes offers.  Inside the boot, Teichert has included a heel slide in the shape of the Manti Utah Temple, honoring both the inspiration and peace he has found inside temples and his great-grandmother whose paintings decorate the Manti Temple world room.
