  • Richard and his wife Lodema appear in the Nauvoo Temple Records in 1846.  Richard is in the Iowa Branch Index in  Pottowattamie County (date not given.)  Lodema was re-baptized at Salt Lake City on 6 June 1850.  At the time of the 1850 federal census of Utah (taken early in 1851) Richard, Lodema and two children (Jeremiah and Rachel) were in Utah but the agricultural schedule indicates they were on their way to San Bernardino, California.  According to FamilyTree, a third child was born in California.
