Ann Wiltshire

  • The Wiltshire family emigrated from England in 1848. They sailed on the Sailor Prince, and arrived in New Orleans on 20 November 1848. William Whiltshire, Ann's father, died in 1850. Ann died en route as her family crossed the plains in 1852.

    Surname is spelled "Wilshire" on the ship passenger list,  "Wilcher" on 1850 Iowa census, "Wilkshire" on company roster, "Willsher" on the 1860 census, and "Wiltshire" on the 1870 census.
