Francis Johnson

Facebook Twitter Print Mail
  • Francis was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 26 October 1851.  The rebaptism record confirms his birth date as 26 December 1832 in Manchester, England.  In 1847 he was a member of the Council Point Branch in Iowa.  His name also appears on the 1850 Utah Census, which was taken in the Spring of 1851, proving that he arrived in Utah between 1847 and 1850.  In this Utah census, he was in the home of Franklin Fox.

We have not been able to locate any other documentation concerning his life in Utah--emigration, death, census, relationship to Franklin Fox, etc.  Further research is needed to determine the year of his arrival and the name of the pioneer company with which he traveled to Utah.
