  • Evidence from emigration and genealogical records proves that Sarah Harward and her brother William Harward  traveled to Utah 1854.  They sailed to America in 1854 on the ship Windmere, and Sarah was married in Salt Lake City in January 1855, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration.  Further research is needed to determine the name of the company with which they traveled.

Her birth and death dates are confirmed by the inscription on her gravestone and the Utah State History cemeteries and Burials Database.
