  • The name listed as "Ma Newburry" on the hand-written roster.  The Deseret News roster lists this individual as "N. Newberry." She traveled in the Wimmer company and married John Hyatt, who traveled in the 1852 Pratt company, upon arrival to Utah. Their first child was born in 1853. Her married name, as recorded in census records, was "Hyatt." She was most commonly known as Patty, rather than Martha.
