  • Although Anna's name is not specifically recorded in the company records, her husband's was. Martin Potter was recorded as traveling with a group consisting of ten adults and five children. Many of them have been identified by comparing individuals in his family in the 1850 census when they were in Iowa, with those appearing in or near his household in California at the time of the 1860 census. Further research is needed to identify all of them.
