  • William, his wife, and son arrived in New Orleans on 18 March 1854 via the ship Golconda. They are seen in the 1860 federal and 1865 Kansas state census indicating their son, William, was born in Utah in 1854, so they must have traveled to Utah that same year before relocating again to Kansas. Payson Ward records further confirm that they completed their journey to Utah. William is documented in that ward at the time of a rebaptism on 11 November 1855. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company they traveled with.
