  • George traveled with his wife Mary and children Henry, Sarah and Lucy. They arrived in New York on 6 July 1866 via the ship Arkwright. Thompson company records only list George as head of household, however, it is assumed that the family remained together during the overland journey. Company records list George under "Independent Passengers." They did not purchase rations or use the Perpetual Emigration Fund.
