Evan Evans

  • Evan and his wife Rachel crossed the Atlantic on the ship International in 1853.  Evan was re-baptized at Salt Lake City on 27 November 1853 by A. Cunningham.  He appears in the Utah Territorial Militia Records at Salt Lake City on October 1855 and on the 1856 Utah Territorial census in the Salt Lake City 15th Ward along with A. Cunningham.  In the 1860 Utah census Evan and Rachel and their daughter Rachel were still in the 15th ward (on the census their surname is spelled "Eunins."  Evan and Rachel were in the 15th ward at the time of the 1870 census and Evan died here in 1875.
