  • Henry, his wife Mary and 3 daughters Mary, Sarah, and Rhoda traveled to America on the 1853 ship Ellen Maria.  They are also listed on the 1852 ship Kennebec.  Their ship deposit was returned 16 January 1852 and they sailed a year later.  His name is listed as "Henry Rood George" on the Ellen Maria.
