Charlotte Alderton

  • Daughter of Richard and Mary Ann Alderton.  She crossed the Atlantic on the ship Ellen Maria in 1853 with her parents and her brother George.  All of them are listed on the original roster of the Cyrus Wheelock Company in the sub-division led by Captain Kendall.  Charlotte does not appear in the 1856 Utah census although her brother George is in the Salt Lake 11th ward--the only Alderton in the entire census.  This suggests that Charlotte died before the census was taken
