  • James, his wife Louisa, children William, Thomas, James Jr. and Louisa came from England in 1853 on the ship Elvira Owen.

    Although the Belliston family started in Claudius Spencer's company, they traveled most of the way in the Cyrus H. Wheelock Company in 1853. James later participated as one of the rescuers that were sent out in the winter of 1856 to assist the members of the Church stranded in Wyoming.
