  • Andrew and his three brothers (James, Thomas and John) crossed the Atlantic on the ship Elvira Owen in 1853. Andrew, James, and Thomas traveled with the Cryus Wheelock pioneer company. Their brother John crossed the plains with the Moses Daley Freight Train, possibly serving as a teamster.

    Andrew traveled in a division of the Wheelock Company headed by Captain Picton.
