  • He arrived in New York via the ship Antarctic on 10 July 1863. First documentation to place him in the Valley is a rebaptism performed in the Sugarhouse Ward on 22 April 1866, which was prior to that year's emigration season, so he would have crossed the plains between 1863 and 1865. Further research is needed to narrow the year of his travel and identify the company he traveled with.

His parents and some of his younger siblings came in 1866. Birth date confirmed by Sugarhouse Ward records at the time of his rebaptism.
