  • The Sewell/Nichols family began their journey with the Job Pingree Company, but shortly after their departure, a wagon wheel was broken and they stayed behind to have it fixed. When the Elias Asper Company overtook them, they continued on with them for the remainder of the journey.

    Sarah was the daughter of Joseph and Emily Sewell. Death records list her under the married name of "Trimble."
