  • FamilySearch and the ship manifest show their surname as "Attwicks," as does the Utah Death and Burials website.  His surname is listed as "Athwicks" on the rebaptism records in the Salt Lake City 13th. These records also confirm his birth date. 

    The 1860 Utah census shows his surname as "Atthwicks," and the 1870 Utah census shows it as "Atwick." 

    James and Hannah sailed to America in 1853 on the ship Ellen Maria.  The ship manifest shows their surname as "Attwicks."  A 55 year old Daniel was with them on the ship.
