  • Thomas sailed to America in 1854 on the ship Windermere.  His wife, Elizabeth McGhie Boam is documented as traveling in 1854. As he is assumed to have traveled with her (he was on the same ship coming across the ocean), we have also put him in the 1854 unknown. Further research is needed to identify the name of the overland company they traveled in.
