  • Margaret and her four young children arrived in New York on 24 July 1866 via the ship St. Mark. Only her name is listed on the overland company roster, as head of household, but the record shows she purchased four adult food rations for that portion of the journey, which would have covered her and all her children, so this shows they continued on with her in the Scott Company to the Valley.

Her son's history, written while he was still living, also confirms that all the children came with her during the 1866 emigration season.
