• Anne traveled overseas with her family (parents Didrick and Maren Mortensen) in 1855 on the ship James Nesmith. Many of her family members traveled across the plains in the Christian Christiansen Company (1857), but first documentation  to place Anne in Utah is her rebaptism in the 15th Ward records on 10 March 1857. She is listed as being married to Benjamin L. Clapp at that time. She must have traveled in either 1855 or 1856.
