  • Hannah emigrated to the Unites States in 1863. She sailed on the ship John J. Boyd. Her name is listed on the ship's manifest as "Hanna Maartensson."

    First documentation to place her in the Valley is a rebaptism in the Seventeenth Ward on 1 October 1863. Further research is needed to narrow the time of her travel and to identify the name of the company she traveled with.
