  • Sarah's birth date is confirmed by the Patriarchal Blessing Index, which is not open to the public.

Further research is needed to determine the year of the family's arrival in Utah and the name of the pioneer company with which they traveled to Utah.

Sarah divorced Samuel Brocklebank Hardy in Salt Lake City, Utah on 17 March 1852.

The 1860 Utah census shows her name as "Sarah Sharp," living with William Sharp, age 53, Mary Sharp (Sarah Braley), age 12, Joseph Sharp 11, and Wm Sharp, age 4.  Joseph and William are Mary's brothers.  On this census, Mary Sharp is actually Mary Braley, from Sarah Jane's previous marriage."
