  • Samuel arrived in New York on 19 July 1864 via the ship Hudson. His biography indicates that he arrived in the Valley that same year before settling in California in 1867. Further research is needed to identify the name of the company he traveled with. The his PEF record indicates that he left his company somewhere along the Weber River.
