John Squire Davenport
Genealogical and church records confirm that the Davenport family arrived in Utah in 1850. Their son John was born in Iowa in January 1850, and Madora was rebaptized in Salt Lake City 23 May 1851, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company they traveled to Utah with.
We know that the family left Utah for California by 1853 because of the birth of children there in 1853 and 1855. By 1857 they were back in Iowa, where another child was born.
