  • The family sailed to America in 1850 on the ship North Atlantic.  Their surname is listed as "Rodgers" on the ship manifest list.   

    The first documentation to place them in Utah is the rebaptism of Charles 2 November 1851.  In that record, his surname is listed as "Rogers."  

    The Salt Lake 3rd Ward record lists Charles' surname as "Rogers." 

    "Charles Rodgers" sold property 26 October 1853 in Salt Lake City

    Further research is needed to determine the name of the pioneer company the family traveled with.
