  • The Irons family came to Utah sometime between 1860 and 1866. He and his family appear in the 1860 Census living in New Jersey and the 1870 Census living in Moroni Utah. John enlisted in the U.S. Army, in Utah, in 1866 to fight in the Blackhawk War. There is a possibility that they came in the William Preston Company of 1863. More research is needed to determine if this is true.
