Elizabeth Cragg West

  • Elizabeth is the daughter of William West and Hannah Twigg. Hannah passed away a few years previous. William later remarried. His second wife was Ann Cook. The West family emigrated from England in 1855. They traveled on the ship Charles Buck and  arrived in New Orleans on March 14, 1855. They made their way up to Mormon Grove, Kansas (near Atchison), and came to Utah with the Richard Ballantyne Company of 1855.

    In the 1860 census she is living with her father and family in Goshen UT.

    In the 1880 census she is married to Fritz Johnson, living with their children at Bear Lake Idaho.
