  • The 1850 Utah census shows William as living in Weber, Utah, being 28 years old and born in California.  His wife was Sarah A. Leany, born about 1830 in Tennessee.  They had a two-year-old daughter named Mary A. who was born in Iowa.

    Further research is needed to identify the year they crossed the plains and the name of the  pioneer company with which they traveled.
